“Make a joyful shout to the Lord,
all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with
singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we
ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with
thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless
His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures
to all generations.”
Psalm 100
This psalm really blessed me today.
It is full of important things that we can learn. The first list of things that
we are going to look at are things that God wants us to know:
- He
wants us to know that He is the Lord. It is He who is God.
- He
wants us to know that He made us, not we ourselves.
- He
wants us to know that we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
- He
wants us to know that the He is good.
- He
wants us to know that His mercy is everlasting.
- He
wants us to know that His truth endures to all generations.
Hallelujah! The other list of
things that we are going to look at are things that that we are encouraged to
apply in our daily lives and walk with Him. It will not only bless us if we do
these things, it will also bless Him!
- We
are to make a joyful shout to the Lord.
- We
are to serve the Lord with gladness.
- We
are to come before His presence with singing.
- We
are to enter into His gates with thanksgiving.
- We
are to enter into His courts with praise.
- We
are to be thankful to Him.
- We
are to bless His name.
Be encouraged today. Be glad for
what you “know” as “facts” from the Word of God. Also, be glad for what you “can
do” to truly worship Him in spirit and in truth. Serve the Lord with gladness.
It’s the absolute best thing you can do.
Father, May we come before Your presence with singing. May
we enter Your gates with thanksgiving, and Your courts with praise. May we
bless Your name and be thankful to You. May we serve You with gladness. May we
even make a joyful shout to You because this is what You deserve! In Jesus’
name we pray. Amen.
