Matthew 6:33 - Seek God first thing in the morning

“seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

Matthew 6:33

We are to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). But sadly, many Christians only seek Him once in a while. They claim they are to busy and they don’t have time in their day to seek Him regularly. This makes me think of something we did when we were children in gym class. We had to choose sides. Some children were picked right away. Other children had to wait to hear their name called and were picked towards the end or even last. Think of how these children that were chosen near the end or last must have felt. Now I want you to think about how God must feel if we choose Him last or not at all too. This has to grieve Him and make Him sad for He longs to fellowship with you. Let’s make it a point to choose Him first!

Father, may we make it a point to choose You first. We don’t want to hurt Your feelings by choosing You last or not at all. We want to fellowship with You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
